Our Three Faces

 

A Japanese proverb believes that every person have three faces or personalities. The first face we show to the world, second to our near and dear ones and third to ourselves. It indicates that we wear a type of invisible mask in front of everyone, every time. Only the third face is the real face of the person.

The first face which we try to show to the world we want it to be perfect and flawless. We always try to sugarcoat everything in this face, this side of personality is a small part of our true personality but does not depicts the whole and real picture of the person. The fear of being judged or getting mocked and not placed in the right place, usually is the root cause for wearing this mask. We don’t share our real thoughts openly and many times we behave fake and diplomatic around people to just position ourselves rightly.

The second face which we show to our friends and family are much more real than what we show to the whole world but still not the real one. We feel a lot comfortable around our friends and family so we usually are not hesitant in hiding our feelings and emotions. We behave differently with friends and differently with our family members. The reason might be that up to some extent we know these people and we know how they are going to react so this builds a sort of confidence within us and we don’t try to fake each and every thing. Even care, respect and love comes under this mask… yes it’s a mask because it may happen that we care a lot but are not able to fully express ourselves. Usually we spend most of our time under this mask.

The third face is the true reflection of our personality. It clearly tells who we are because this face we don’t ever share with anyone, only we are aware about it. Every thought, every act, every emotion is true to yourself. This face is hidden from everyone in the world and you are the person who can see and feel this personality. All the emotions are hidden under this face, even the pain-only you can experience it.

We live in this free world but do we show our real face to the world freely? It is said people have three faces but you never know you might have more than that!!!!🤔🤔
